butte mine memorial

Poindexter's had the opportunity to co-write, record and produce a 6 part audio program that debuted June 6th, 2010 at the Speculator/Granite Mountain Mine Memorial Site. The Memorial is located "on the hill" in Butte, Montana. Butte is an amazing place, it was Montana's most populated and metropolitan city for many years. It had electricity before San Francisco and was home to many hardworking families who traveled from all corners of the globe to work the mines.   We hope that you'll enjoy what you hear!

The Poindexter's team has enjoyed working with a committee of dedicated, community minded people including Gerry and Fred Walter the coordinators of the Memorial, Jean Cannada from the EPA, Joe McElroy from Pioneer Technical Services, Marci Sheehan from British Petroleum and the City and County of Butte-Silver Bow on this heartfelt project that will help pay tribute to the 168 minors that gave their lives on June 8th, 1917.
